The Illinois Environmental Contractors Association (IECA) is a non-profit organization representing the highly regulated businesses that provide asbestos, lead, mold, and other environmental remediation services in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
IECA works directly with its member contractors, the Laborers’ Union, and state, federal and municipal legislative and regulatory bodies to maintain the highest rate of return possible on the cost of doing business in the environmental industry, while at the same time preserving safe and practical regulations, bargaining for fair compensation for its contractors’ union employees, and protecting human health and the environment.
In addition to the remediation work performed by the businesses represented by IECA, as a direct benefit to consumers, IECA’s involvement with state and local bodies keeps project prices as low as possible and enhances compliance with the ever-changing governmental regulations affecting the environmental remediation industry and its customers.
