Illinois Environmental Contractors Association (IECA) was founded in 1991 by a handful of contracting companies whose initial objective was IECA’s representation to bargain an environmental remediation area collective bargaining agreement with the Laborers’ Union. IECA continues to serve in that capacity, and has expanded its services to include the protection of Illinois businesses and consumers from superfluous or unnecessary environmental regulations.

As our organization grew, so too did our influence on the industry.

Presently, there are more than 40 companies, each of which is licensed by the State of Illinois, represented by IECA and for which IECA performs its services. We believe that collective action through association is the most effective way to deal with the changing demands of doing business.
